| All around the world, people live separate lives in different timezones, going about their business using their native language. Language barrier can make communication difficult. However, isn't it possible to share the same dreams ? Dreams aren't bound by languages. If a work is appreciated all over the world, the dream comes true. Thanks to this hope of getting people to share the same dream, and with the participation of great artists from all over the world, this ≪ worldwide ≫ Pokemon illustration anthology was born. Even if people are separated by long distances and languages, we understand each other's feelings through Pokemon. ≪ Orbis ≫ is a latin word meaning ≪ circle ≫, and can also be used to refer to ≪ The Earth ≫ or ≪ the World ≫. We hope Pokemon will become a circle connecting the world to bring it together, and this is ≪ Project Orbis ≫. |
・この広い世界では、様々な人々が多くの国々に違う時間で暮らしていて、別々の言語で一人ひとりの暮らしを営んでいます。言葉が違えば、意思疎通はすぐに難しくなってしまう。だとすれば、世界中で同じ夢を見ることは不可能なのでしょうか。 ・しかし、夢は言葉に縛られません。世界中から愛されている作品だからこそ、実現できる夢がある。そういった思いと、世界中の作家さまの篤い御厚意から、"ワールドワイド"イラストレーションアンソロジー「Project ORBIS」は誕生しました。 ・たとえ距離や言葉によって世界の人たちが離ればなれに暮していても、同じ一つの作品で心を通い合わせることができる。「ORBIS」はラテン語で"輪"という意味を持ち、また"世界"を表す言葉にも使われる単語です。 「Project ORBIS」が世界の隅々を繋ぐ輪となる事を願います。 |
